Farming is helping the farmers in completing there basic need or not?

India has enough food, but does India has enough people to work in the farm? Do the policies which are framed for farming or for agriculture is correct or convinient for nowadays environement, or it should be changed.

India is a agriculture company, where agriculture is the great source of employement. Officially farmers are only a few hundred million, but adding family members who help or occasionally farm, as also wage labourers, is thereb is profit to both the farmer and there families. Todays agriculture policies fail in satisying the farmers need and this is the reason of no. of deaths of the farmers and there families. India needs to shift from basic farming to more efficient, sustainable, and productive farming. Unfortunately, today’s agriculture policies fail to recognise how crop choices, input costs, and the supply chain are intertwined, perpetuating marginal farming. Moreover, growing more food isn’t the solution to providing employment. 

So how does a farmer make more money? 

The simplest means to make more money is to produce more with less input, meaning productivity. But herein lays the fundamental problems. Indian productivity is not so low, and is very good in selected crops, especially sugar. 

The methods and policies should be changed of the farming and agriculture so that famers should not get affected and specially there families. They should get proper facilities so that they can earn a proper profit and can live for there family.
